| I'm a swimmer on the Bay and Ocean State Squids, where I've trained for four years. I currently swim six days a week. Despite my height, my coaches continue to encourage my swimming because they say that I have the capability of being awesome. (I am Chinese, having been one of the first girls adopted from China in the wave of 50,000 adoptees in this country.) This year I have gained strength in a way that has shifted my best stroke from breast to butterfly, which I now love. |
