| As a sixteen year old I gave up my social, life making my sophomore year of high school my last. I gave up classes with my friends, whom I’ve had classes with since kindergarten. I began classes with college students that I didn’t know, some much older than me, in order to jump start my education. In the summer of 2007 I was accepted as an elite academic student into the FastTrack Academy Nursing Program at Wallace State Community College. There are only eight programs like this in the United States and only one in the State of Alabama. This program has allowed me as a junior and senior to have my first college general educational classes completed by the spring of 2009. Not only has this program advanced me in my educational academics but it has also made me grow as a student in the real world. |
