Born in Sechelt, BC, Tristan has been involved in hockey for the last 9 years. Tristan has been playing hockey at Caronport High School in Saskatchewan since September 2007, his grade 11 year. Before that he was in the Abbotsford (British Columbia) Minor Hockey Association for the previous 8 years. Tristan was selected in 2004/2005 to participate in the Yale Secondary Hockey Canada Skills Academy. In the summer of 2007, while at a defenseman camp in Delta, BC, the coach (Frank Spinozzi) of Caronport, saw his abilities and personality and wanted Tristan as part of his team in Saskatchewan. So Tristan and his mother moved to Caronport (part of Brier Crest College) to develop his hockey and academic skills.

This letter is in reference to Tristan Pagan and his application to your learning institution. It is a pleasure for me to do this, as I believe Tristan is an outstanding young man who deserves Recognition for his abilities.
Tristan had played for me at the Midget “AAA” level in the 2006/07 season.
During this time I found him to be a well rounded individual who had and continues to build an excellent rapport with management, coaches and with fellow players. Very much a team player, Tristan is intense, yet easy going, and is extremely coachable. He is dedicated to hockey and schooling and has great work habits and continued to learn and develop as a hockey player and student.

As a hockey coach for The University of the Fraser Valley I feel confident that he would make a great candidate for scholarships with your institution. On my hockey team, for example, he often asked questions about positional hockey that was beyond his years and experience level. In practices and games, Tristan’s qualities of perseverance and dedication were admirable and exceptional. He continually works very hard to improve his skill level and knowledge of hockey. In practice, he adopts a business-like approach when undertaking activities, committing them to completion. He was not a player to short-change any drills.
