Sports are my life. Sports play a positive role in my life in many ways. I participate in Dance, Basketball and softball and love them all. One way that it plays a positive role is keeping my away from trouble. Because of sports I have never been in trouble, I have never done drugs, never stole anything and I have to keep my grades up to play sports. I have to have good grades to play sports and working hard to keep my grades up is another form of competition for me. I compete for the top grade in each of my classes. Sports also help me communicate with people, to help develop people skills. Sports also are a great way to stay in shape and keep a healthy body. To play sports you have to be in top shape to do well. Finally, another way sports have a positive role in my life is I have fun and that is what life should be all about. You should have fun in life and live it to the fullest and sports allow me to do that. All of these reasons are how sports play a positive role in my life.
I am also an elected member of the Peer Mentor program at my High School. We help incoming freshman adjust to high school and how to deal with peer pressure.
I think by being physically active in so many activities and being involved in volunteer work helps me to become a better health care professional, which is what career I want to enter into.
I think that being a positive role model in my school is a great chance to show my peers that we need to set goals and work hard to become successful adults in our community.
