John Gioffre (6-1, 285) is a defensive tackle for the dominating defense of Cinco Ranch High School. He is a four-year letterman and was the first player in Cinco Ranch history to earn a position on the varsity squad as a freshman.
In the 2006 season, Gioffre helped his team advance to the regional semifinal round of the playoffs with an 11-2 record. John made first team All-District, second team All-Area, and second team All-Greater Houston.
His commitment to becoming a well-rounded student-athlete was evident when he was honored for his hard work in the classroom. He was named to the 2006 first team All-Academic.
Gioffre is a multi-sport athlete who is also a member of the Cougar varsity wrestling team. In 2005 and 2006, John earned the district title in his weight class and qualified for regionals. In the 2006 season, he is 22-0 as a heavyweight and looks forward to continuing his wrestling success as state rapidly approaches.
John looks forward to working hard in the off-season to improve his skills for the 2007 football season. He is a great student who has a strong desire to play ball at the collegiate level and receive a quality education from a respected university.
