At this event as a C, Craig shows sway and a nice target in his set up, he works to get around the balls in the dirt, and is online to his target along with a good arm stroke on his throwing. On the mound, Lefebvre shows an above average delivery, control, and in his delivery mechanics; all of this made possible by his smooth, effortless mechanics. As a hitter, Craig shows the ability to throw his hips, attack the baseball, and stay inside the baseball allowing him to hit to all fields.
SCOUTING REPORT:12/27/2008 - UA Recruiting Classic Craig continues to shine and improve his baseball abilities. He showed as a catcher and RHP at the event. He is solid behind the plate and continues to show plus tools with his receiving, blocking, and throwing skills. Arm strength continues to improve with life, carry, and accuracy. He will control the running game at the next level with his feet and arm. At the plate, Lefebvre has a loose solid swing. He has the ability to drive the baseball displaying strength in his swing. Swing path is level and keeps hands inside the ball, utilizing the entire field. On the mound, delivery is smooth with solid athletic mechanics. Arm action is easy, loose and works well away from his body. He throws strikes and is around the plate with all his pitches. Fastball is heavy on a good plane. Breaking ball is solid average displaying tilt with late action. Craig will get a ton of looks from the collegiate coaches and has the makings to be a special type player.
10/26/2008 - SCR - Stockton, CA Oct AM Craig is a talented athlete with potential at the next level. Craig also plays both the infield and outfield and he pitches a little bit, but he is most suited as a catcher at this point. Behind the dish, Craig shows a quick release and proper footwork on throws to 2B. He gets down quickly when blocking balls in the dirt and he receives the ball with a quiet approach. There isn’t much he can’t do behind the plate. At the plate, Craig drives the ball with a line drive approach. He is very balanced and has power to the gaps. Sometimes he gets uphill with his swing, but overall, he is a polished hitter. He should draw a lot of attention to himself over the next two years.

TEAMONE SCOUTING REPORT
6/28/2009 - Team One West 2009 Craig is an athletic catcher, that will find himself being recruited by solid college baseball programs. He did a solid, consistent job of throwing, sitting repeatedly at 2.05 seconds on his POP times. Craig shows good balance and footwork in his throwing mechanics, as well as plus carry, with some work on is transfer/release he could sit in the low 1.9’s. Craig does a decent job working to center blocks on his chest protector, and he will improve this skill upon deadening the ball off his belly. He is quick off his knees, bringing athleticism to the position. Offensively, he is a max-effort hitter, at times trying to do too much with the ball. This causes him to dive with his stride, and fly with his shoulders, bring the bat around the ball. His hands flash that they are good to the ball, when he allows them to work freely. He showed his ability to spray the ball, using his hands, when he had live, game at-bats. This shows that he has an understanding and good approach in a live setting, and college coaches will be noticing this as they continue seeing him play.
