| 2004 was the first year for a water polo team for Mason High School. The person that had the highest goals last year for the team was a second year player. Everyone else, including Mike were first year players in the sport of Water Polo. Following are the 2004 & 2005 statistics for Mike: shots (85 - 127), Goals (27 - 47), Assists (13 - 19), Steals (33 - 34). The coach used Mike as the speedster to start the game, to create break aways and guard the other teams fastest attackers. In 2005 Mike was used as the point man for offense/defense to control the defense and stop fast breaks from other teams. Mike is one of the mainstays on defense and rotates into the hole position as well as being the primary person to take 4 meter shots for the team. |

| 2004 and 2005 Ohio All-state honorable mention, High school team record holder for most assists. I also had the 2nd place rank on the team for most goals scored in 2004 & 2005. Team Captain for 2004 and 2005. |
