Being a college soccer player is something that I have wanted to for a long time and have committed myself to excellence in all areas of my life. Having a healthy mind is critical in achieve honor role and making smart decisions. Having a healthy body allows me to compete and excel at the highest level my body will allow. And finally having a healthy strong soul allows me to give back to others as I go through this journey to be a college athlete.
I learned many valuable lessons about living a healthy lifestyle as a student athlete when I was 13 years old. As a 13 year old I had reached a weight of 245 lbs and lack a real sense of discipline with my eating habits and work-out regimen. After spending some time speaking to my soccer coach and learning how I could achieve my goals academically and athletically, I lost 80 lbs in roughly 4 months. I was and still am very dedicated to having a healthy mind, soul and body.
Working with the elderly at the Concordia Luthern start the "Be Mine" program to visit elderly nursing homes to spend time handing our gift packages and spending time with many residents.
