Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I can't kill the dream to play in the NHL, but more importantly I think that athletics completes the education experience for me. I learn in the classroom, and I learn on the ice.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As I have become the older goalie in my high school and in my town, I encourage the younger high school goalies and remind them that they will improve. And I hold goalie clinics for the youth hockey goalies in my town. For my Eagle Scout project, I added to our Veteran's Memorial in the center of town. This involved raising money by leading scouts on fundraising projects, and organizing the implementation of the project.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I eat a healthy diet (for a teenager), I stay away from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. While I focus on hockey, I try to be an all around athlete to avoid burnout in any one activity.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As a Boy Scout, I work in the community as part of their service requirements. I have worked on recycling projects, helped in food pantries, maintained soccer fields, and delivered winter materials to seniors. I believe that charity starts near your home and that making your community better makes the country and world better.
