Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I've been dribbling a soccer ball as long as I can remember. Soccer has taught me so much and has given me some of the best memories of my life. I love to compete, I love to win and I really love to grow. Every new season seems to bring with it a new challenge that seems to affect multiple aspects of my life. I've always dreamt of playing in college, to take on that level of challenge and to take on that level of growth. I know I'm going to win.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have learned that on and off the field attitude has a great influence on how things end up. Therefore I try to approach everything with a positive can-do mentality. On the field things might not be going our way but I lead by example in giving my 100% until the last whistle. At work, I remind those I work with of the goals we share, included closing down quickly so we can al get home at a decent hour. This enables everyone to focus and execute like a team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As far as being a student-athlete, my grades have always come first. There is a lot of discipline and organization that comes with this, but I've been doing it so long that it's vey second nature. My closest friends understand that I have commitments to my sport and to my grades, so when I have to cancel or postpone they understand and encourage me. But when I have free time I make sure to invest it in family and friends.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Having great parents as roll models and being the middle child of 5 has given me the skills and tools to make a positive impact at my church, at work, at school and on the field. I volunteer every Wednesday and Sunday to help with the younger kids at my church. I babysit 2 young boys who absolutely love spending time, we have a blast and I know I'm a positive influence. I also work at a trampoline park part-time. I've only been there 6 months but have already gotten 2 raises and a promotion due to my hard work and leadership. I'm confident any one of my managers would write me a strongly worded letter of recommendation. Lastly at school I'm consistently on honor roll and have won our Panther Pride award for being an exemplary student. I also have been nominated to be a P.E. leader next year after going through an application process.
