Personal
I have always had a desire to continue my soccer career into the college level and I am extremely motivated to be able to continue playing my favorite game and to improve my skills in a new and exciting environment at a new and different place. I am looking to create an opportunity for myself to be a part of another hardworking and driven community, and to be able to be pushed and challenged by a variety of excellent soccer players who encourage me to be my best self, both on and off the field. Being able to be a part of something that is bigger than myself and having the chance to learn how to show up for the girls who count on me is something that I would love to be able to experience at the collegiate level. I am a hardworking athlete and I love being challenged to become a better person by those who are at a higher level than me. I learn best in environments when I am challenged by a group of people who are handworkers and in which I am faced with competition.
As a student athlete, my academics are a crucial part of my everyday life and I dedicate a significant amount of time to maintaining a strong overall GPA. Not only is it important for me to keep up my grades, but I am an extremely self-motivated student and I strive to push myself to my limits when it comes to the courses that I take. I work to keep a healthy mind as well as a healthy body, because it is my main goal to perform at my best ability on and off the field. Despite my overwhelming schedule I dedicate the majority of my nights to my academics, but sticking to a reliable sleep schedule is a crucial part of my everyday routine. I strive to keep myself motivated and I rarely procrastinate when it comes to the time that I am expected to complete my work.
This past fall a few of my close team mates from my school soccer team and I volunteered to provide a safe and fun environment for young girls between the ages of 6-13 from the Rochester area who lost their school soccer seasons due to covid-19. We organized practices every Sunday for the girls and worked them through a variety of drills and foot skills that allowed them to improve their overall abilities on the field and it kept them active and motivated during the fall. Having the opportunity to make a difference in these young girls lives was extremely important to me, because I was able to provide them with the chance to play their favorite sport despite their inability to play for their school. It meant the world to me that I was able to make memories and form relationships with such light hearted and energetic girls who kept their heads up and continued to stay hopeful.
