Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love playing volleyball! It gives me a feeling of satisfaction and excitement. I love competing and enjoy hanging out with my teammates.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court, I try to remain calm and always stay positive no matter what is happening. Off the court, I work hard at not letting peer pressure get the best of me.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I eat pretty well and try to get enough sleep. I play on the Varsity Volleyball Team at Archbishop Mitty. I play on a club team with Vision Volleyball. I take extra fitness training classes with Carlise Performance twice a week to help with strength and endurance. I work hard as an athlete but always make sure I am well rounded and spend time with my friends. I know it is also important to focus on my school work and to have a healthy social life that includes good friends. I believe being well rounded is healthy for athletes. I love going to the beach when I feel stressed.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I serve my local community by volunteering at Almaden Country Day school. I work as a teacher's aid with pre-school age kids. What is most important to me is helping the littles and spending time with them. They are so cute and fun to be around!
