Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I would like to be recruited because I love this sport and am thankful for everything it has taught me. I would love the opportunity to continue doing what I love after high school, and have the student athlete experience.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a coach of a summer dive team. I love it because I continue to learn new things about diving, get to work with kids, and get to see their faces when they learn a new dive!

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I think it's very important to have a good balance. If I have a bad practice, I come in next time having that practice behind, and focus on what's ahead. Diving has gave me many tools to help in life, such as goal setting. I can also bring that into my schoolwork and strive for excellence. An example is getting a 5 on an AP exam. I set the goal of 5- then see the steps I need to get to my goal, just like learning a new dive.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am in a program called National Charity League- which is doing community service wherever it's needed. I also have an internship at congress for childhood cancer research. It is for speaking out for children with cancer, who don't have a voice themselves. These are important to me because my community has helped my family so much during tough times, and they deserve something in return.
