Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to swim in college because I believe that swimming is a large part of my life that I love. I believe I work well in a team setting and want to be able to continue both of these aspects of swimming in college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

For the past two years I have volunteered at the Angel Tree Distribution, organized by the Salvation Army. I love doing this because it gives me an opportunity to talk to people of my community and help parents who want to make their child's holiday special. I also try to volunteer at local elementary schools and really be there for people who need my help.
