College water polo is a great sport and at many schools is one of the most loved sports teams. Water polo is a physically and mentally demanding game and requires great athletes in order to have a winning team. College water polo coaches want to recruit talented athletes who work hard and have the drive and passion to succeed at the college level. The way water polo coaches recruit most of their athletes is online by studying water polo players’ online recruiting profiles. It’s extremely important that all high school water polo players who want to get recruited have an online water polo recruiting profile. On your profile you should include your statistics, academic information and of course highlights and/or game film. HOW TO GET A WATER POLO SCHOLARSHIP
Now that you know you want to take your game to the college level, it’s time to start thinking about whether you’re going to be a walk-on athlete or if you think you’re good enough to be on a water polo scholarship. There are many great opportunities to play college water polo and you have to take into account many things. Does the school you like offer your major? Is it close to where you want to live? Do you like your new teammates and coaches? At the end of the day you have to find the school that’s the best fit for you both athletically and academically.

College water polo coaches will be looking at many things when they start recruiting you. A major requirement of college coaches is that you have good grades. Coaches recruit athletes who they feel comfortable will remain academically eligible throughout their 4 years of college.
